STAFF BIOGRAPHIES
KRISTIN BOHMAN
Kristin is a legal assistant that works on domestic relations cases, personal injury cases, and other civil litigation cases. She regularly handles divorces, child custody cases, cases involving car and truck accidents, and civil protection order cases. She also assists clients in filing cancellation of removal petitions based upon extremely unusual hardship to spouses and children. Kristin graduated summa cum laude with distinction from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she obtained a B.A. degree in English literature. She began taking Spanish classes in high school and continued her studies through college.
STEPHEN P. MORRIS II
Stephen is a legal assistant that works exclusively on immigration cases. He graduated from high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and then from a 2-year college in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1998. He lived for 10 years in Central America in the 1980’s and early 90’s. Because of this background, he learned to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently, and he particularly enjoys helping Hispanics and Latinos with their immigration cases.
LYDIA MORALES
Lydia works as both a part time business office manager. She helps with accounts receivable, billing and collections, and file closing and maintenance responsibilities. She has a degree in Marketing and Management and is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Lydia has extensive experience in many other areas of business and customer service. She has lived in Colorado with her family since 2000 and is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
YURIDIA ESCONTRIAS-CASAS
Yuri is a legal assistant who handles criminal and DUI cases. She also assists with some immigration matters, including ICE Holds, immigration bonds, and U- visa applications. She graduated summa cum laude with highest distinction from Mesa State College, where she obtained an Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting and a Bachelor’s degree in Business. She reads, writes, and speaks Spanish fluently.
BEATRIZ ARAUJO
Beatriz is the firm’s receptionist and front office coordinator. She is responsible for handling all mail and documents that come to the firm, scheduling and calendaring, notifying clients of critical events, and filing preliminary documents in criminal cases. She has extensive experience in customer service. Beatriz has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 15 years and graduated from Roaring Fork High School in 2003. She reads, writes, and speaks Spanish fluently.
ELOISA UNDERWOOD
Eloisa is the firm’s business office manager. She is primarily responsible for billing, collecting, and accounts receivable. She is also responsible for maintaining firm operating accounts and client trust accounts. She was born and raised in Mexico and obtained an accounting degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Instituto Tecnologico in Monterrey. She later moved to the United States and became a lawful permanent resident. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
