We offer a variety of fee agreements, including installment payments and innovative arrangements. We will listen to you before we quote you a fee! Unlike many law firms, we do not charge for postage, copies, or long distance calls.

All monies paid to us by clients are held in a trust account until we earn the money.

In criminal cases, we usually quote an initial retainer and a trial retainer. The initial retainer is designed to cover the entire case, unless there is a trial. The trial retainer is the cost of a jury trial, and is in addition to the initial retainer. If you know you are pleading not guilty, then we will quote you a trial retainer to save you money.

In criminal cases, the form of the fee agreement is a task-based agreement. These agreements look like flat-fee agreements, but you have the right to fire us at any time and obtain a refund for tasks not yet completed.

We also offer task-based fee agreements in immigration cases.

We offer hourly fee agreements as well. In an hourly fee agreement, we ask you to deposit a retainer against which we draw funds as we work on your case. We send you a statement each month showing the balance.

In rare cases, we will enter into a contingency fee agreement. In a contingency agreement, you do not pay for our work, but we get a percentage of any money recovered.

• Immigration Matter in Denver (All day) $2,000.00
• Citizenship Application $1000.00, including all fees
• Ted Hess $250.00 per hour
• Ted Hess—Divorce/Custody matter $300.00 per hour
• Associate Attorney $175.00 per hour
• Legal Assistant $100.00 per hour
• Investigator $ 75.00 per hour
